HOMOSASSA PRE SEASON SCALLOPING REPORT 2020
With scallop season only less than a month away many are wondering how plentiful the scallops
are. With June 1st being the first day of grouper season and doing some shallow water spear
fishing every rock pile that we worked in the grass on the outside was plenty of scallops and nice
sized. July 1st is opening day of the season limits are the same as the past years 2 gallons whole
scallops per person and no more than 10 gallons per boat. Safety is of the most important, make
yourself very aware of all the rules and regulations before leaving the dock it will make for a much
enjoyed day on the water hunting these mollusks.
